It's About Respect: Recognizing Harassment in a Diverse Workplace
Program length: 21:00

It's About Respect: Recognizing Harassment in a Diverse Workplace is available in a White Collar (Office Version) as well as a Blue Collar (Industrial Version) to better suit the needs of your workplace environment.

Witness the examples of various harassments through different flashback scenarios and watch four employees come to understand the painful effects of harassment. Through this storyline, viewers will see how harassment can take the form of jokes, negative stereotyping, hostile acts or simple thoughtless comments and how the outcome is inevitably the same. In addition to the costs associated with legal liability, harassment has a profound negative effect on individuals, inflicting emotional stress, lowering employee morale and reducing productivity at work.

It's About Respect will raise awareness regarding harassment and explain the do's and do not's of creating a respectful workplace for everyone.

  • Define harassment.
  • Identify the various types and forms of harassment.
  • Understand the financial and hard-to-measure costs of harassment.
  • Follow practical guidelines to prevent harassment.

I really liked this straightforward, candid, and intelligent discussion about harassment. The employee reactions and interactions were realistic and I think it's likely viewers might see themselves in one of these trainees.

I thought that the program was well received and the audience was able to use the information obtained in their everyday work environment. It was an effective, user friendly progrma that netted relife results.

: This video did a great job of providing some new "perspectives" as stated in the title. The scenes were believeable and the actors made the information interesting and allowed the viewer to possibly see themselves in some of the situations shown in the scenes. Visual examples are always more easily understood than just telling an audience what they need to know about a subject. It might have been helpful to state the items in the company policy also at the beginning of the video, but perhaps the handout lists those items so that the viewers have something to take with them to re-emphasize areas of concern.
