Synopsis
Marcus holds black swan day to help prepare people for crisis scenarios.
Marcus invites everyone to dress in black with a touch of red for his Black Swan meeting (Sanjay takes it to mean “wear a black dress”). His aim is to explain the significance of black swan events and preparing for crises, which can occur when we least expect them. He runs Cutting Edge staff through a safety drill and asks them to predict the likelihood of things going wrong. Steve emphasizes the importance of a proactive approach to risk and the necessity of learning from past mistakes. (One such mistake was losing their biggest client Mr. Garrison following Serena’s flirtatious behavior at her 50th birthday.) Sam calculates that by his matrix, the likelihood of major error is over 60% at Cutting Edge, as long as Marcus is around.
Cutting Edge Communication training videos are designed to provoke discussion and response. Contemporary, fast paced, short, character driven, sitcom-style comedies, these courses take an innovative approach to reaching today's learners. Through laughter, discussion and reaction, we can all develop a more transparent and shared vision of how we wish to behave, how we manage ourselves, and how we cooperate with others.
While some find them insensitive or even outrageous, the vast majority of viewers and participants have found them to be refreshing, stimulating and ideal for injecting energy and enthusiasm back into learning.
